This year’s event was a powerful sign of the meetings industry’s recovery from the pandemic, with exhibitors reporting strong pipelines and robust business transactions. IMEX also provided attendees with valuable educational sessions and engaging activations to help them navigate through current challenges.
IMEX Export Asia is a leading specialist in product coding, marking and traceability systems seamlessly integrated with trusted software and services. Its versatile equipment caters to various industries, with solutions such as small and large character inkjet printing (CIJ, PIJ, TIJ), thermal transfer overprinting and print & apply labelling.
Across the show floor, there were many examples of innovative solutions for event producers and suppliers. Attendees could find solutions to reduce waste and make their events more sustainable, and there were new ways for buyers to do business with exhibitors through the use of an interactive map and new mobile apps.
The 2023 show was also the largest in IMEX America’s 12-year history, with every sector of the industry showing growth and a 20% increase in booth space. There were 70,000 meetings planned between buyers and exhibitors, and the number of attendees increased by 5%. Attendees also enjoyed a number of special events, including SITE NITE and the MPI Rendezvous charity fundraiser.
The event brings together buyers and suppliers in a powerful working relationship. Buyers attend IMEX as individual visitors or as part of the IMEX hosted buyer programme.
Attendees also gain access to education programming that explores topics like the 2023 Talking Point – Human Nature – and sessions of evergreen interest such as contract negotiations, talent acquisition and management or incentive planning.
The event has a new Impact team, led by Natasha Richards, to deliver on the IMEX ambition of having a net positive impact. The team will bring greater coherence and visibility to the many projects, charitable endeavours and industry partnerships that IMEX drives or supports around the world.
IMEX Middle East
The event is expected to draw participants from over 40 countries in a display of global resolve in preserving the rules-based international order. It will also demonstrate the capabilities of international naval forces and showcase regional maritime security cooperation with training evolutions in the Arabian Gulf, Indian Ocean and East African coastal regions.
IMEX’s co-created Agency Directors Forum and Association Focus will deliver learning and discussion that is tailored to specific roles and responsibilities. This will include the latest insight, inspiration and recommendations to overcome key challenges that face the industry.
IMEX’s new app enables buyers and exhibitors to meet on the show floor and pre-book meetings using Bluetooth beacon technology that is supported by CrowdConnected. It is available to download for free on iOS and Android devices. The technology has been backed up with an extensive range of education and support to help attendees make the most of the app’s functionality. The app is now being used by more than 3,000 users.
